Good news for the starting of 2025 fiscal year!
USCIS confirmed using "Dates for Filing Chart" in the Department of State Visa Bulletin for October 2024 for both family-based and employment-based adjustment of status applications. Overall, over 50% of all categories, the Priority Dates for filing an adjustment of status applications are moving forward. Below, please find the information.
Priority Dates ("PD") for family-based applications:
- F1 (USC unmarried son/daughter): the priority date for most countries remain the same, except Mexico, which moved from 04/1/2005 to 10/01/2005.
- F2A (Lawful Permanent Resident's Spouse & Children): all showing moving forwards from 06/15/2024 to 07/15/2024
- F2B (Lawful Permanent Resident's unmarried son/daughter ): the priority date for most countries remain the same, except Mexico, which moved from 05/1/2005 to 08/01/2005.
- F3 (USC married son/daughter): all showing moving forwards, except Mexico-born applicant
- F4 (USC's sibling): the priority date for most countries remain the same, except Philippines, which moved from 04/1/2006 to 08/01/2006.
Priority Dates for employment-based applications:
- EB-1: PDs for all chargeability areas except those listed ("all chargeability"), Mexico, and Philippines remained "Current"; China born and India born applicants PD all moving forward to 01/01/2023 and 04/15/2022 respectively.
- EB-2: all showing moving forwards. (all chargeability 08/01/2023; China 10/01/2020; India 01/01/2013; Mexico and Philippines 08/01/2023)
- EB-3: all showing moving forwards. (all chargeability 03/01/2023; China 11/15/2020; India 06/08/2013; Mexico and Philippines 03/01/2023)
- EB-5: all remained "Current" for all reserved categories
